The only defect is that it tends to leak if you are carrying it home from work in your bag. You need to make sure that you have not only drunk everything out of it, but also shaken out any liquid from inside the lid. (it might even be a good idea to get a tissue or paper towel and wipe it round. Then you can take it home and wash it, safe in the knowledge that it won’t leak inside your bag. )having said that, all these people who say it leaks when they try to drink out of it, i think what they are doing is not screwing the lid on properly. You need to turn the lid anti-clockwise until it clicks down into a horizontal position, which means that the lid has clicked into position inside the screw fitting. Then you need to turn it clockwise and it should screw down into a watertight position, where there should be no leakage. Apart from that, though, i like this product a lot and it has functioned very well so far. It saves on the environment (you can’t recycle the paper ones, since they contain plastic as well) and it is a lot more sturdy that the paper ones. It also shields the heat from your hands much better, meaning that you don’t get your fingers burnti can definitely recommend this, but as i say: 1) make sure you get all the liquid out, before carrying it home in a bag or rucksack; 2) make sure you screw the lid on properly in the manner described above.
