After my electric kettle broke i decided to go for a hob one. At first it seemed to takes ages to boil (compared to electric) but i’m used to it now and have to say i love it. The whistle is loud and it looks good on my cooker whilst freeing up space on my worktop. It holds a decent amount of water. I would definitely buy this again.
Nice kettle boils up a lovely amount of water and whistles too what more could u want. The handle folds down for easy storage too. A good buy for home or campingi shall be using this at home when the cold kicks in as it sits on the hob so u would get a bit of heat from that too :).

I bought this for my mother in law as a gift, and it looked great, she was pleased but the kettle started to change colour (blackish) on first use with a gas hob. The price is very fair and i’d recommend this kettle if you’re just after a kettle and not too fussy about appearance. Or you can use it as an ornament. It did arrived promptly so i can’t fault the seller, very reliable.
Didn’t actually use this till recently as bought for motorhome, love it so well made and looks good.
Great purchase dose what it’s saids.
A lot slower than a electric kettle. Be careful not to put it on a too large a flame, i did, and it has discoloured it slightly.
I bought this kettle to use instead of an electric kettle after learning how much power this used for a cuppa or more. And the whistling kettle does the job adequately, in about the same time as the electric one. However, i prefer to keep my ‘sauce pot’ free for saucery. “the whistle is pathetic,” m. Bleu complained, “and the colour’s awful. ” actually, a stainless steel saucepan performs faster on the gas hob but i can’t hear that from my upstairs office when it boils. Other than the hideous lime colour, which is shown in a very pretty emerald in amazon’s publicity and was definitely my colour choice, it seems to do the job it was bought for. As it’s only been on the go for a few hours, i’ll report back later if necessary.
I works well on my little gas ring so should work for camping, etc. Looks well made and is remarkably stylish. Only had is a few weeks so not sure about longevity but it was very cheap so i do not really mind.
I bought this as a birthday present for my tea loving husband who loved whistling kettles as a kid. I don’t think our electric kettle has been on since he opened it. For the price it’s surprisingly good quality, very sturdy and has (so far) stood up to a serious amount of boiling every day. Really pleased with what was supposed to be just a small extra present for a laugh.
Checked against electric kettle and heating on gas ring appears to produce a lower carbon emission to boil four cups water.
I love this little kettle although the whistle is not as loud as previous one, lightweight and great for camping, good the handle folds away. Bought the lime colour and it looks nicer in real life than the picture advertising the kettle.
This kettle is brilliant, ideal for use in our motorhome.
Didn’t think i’d get much for the money but this kettle is brilliant. It doesn’t spill when you pour, the green colour is fabulous, the handle is comfortable and ergonomic; it doesn’t even get hot. Extremely impressed with what is now our main kettle.
Lost our caravan kettle, so had to buy one in a rush. This came the next day and we were really pleased with it. It has a good capacity and is nice and light. Of course we then found our old ‘proper caravan’ kettle. But i actually prefer this one.
It’s cute, lovely shade of pink. Feels light and flimsy though. I hate the folding handle- if i had known i wouldn’t have ordered it. The handle also heats up and it takes an age to boil. I like it but think it’s really an occasional use camping kettle rather than every day. I guess this is reflected in the low price.
Great value colour was as describedvery satisfied customer.
Lovely product, well made and a lovely colour. Only downside is takes longer than electric kettle.
Lovely little kettle used in our camper van on a gas flame. Handles stays cool enough to pick up after boiling a full kettle. Good loud little whistle to alert you to brew time if you’ve popped out of the room. Has kept it’s colour up to now but maybe that’s because i’m not using it daily and i’m not washing/scrubbing the outside (???) i’m very happy with it.
This was our first gas hob cooker. Much cheaper than replacing an electric kettle. However, the plastic melted after 3 months – not the designers fault, but the users. We are replacing it, not exactly like with like – the graphite finish rubbed off when being cleaned, so we are going for a stainless stell kettle this time.
After reading other reviews over size of the kettle i decided to measure it myself. 5 litres overall, but it does not have a 2. If you seal the spout then maybe you can get 2. 5 litres out of it but otherwise it’s a little over 1. . Other than that it’s still pretty good value. It’s a cute little kettle, whistle works fine (it makes a bit of noise sometimes, particularly the first time i used it). Handle is easy to use, easy to pour, fill up and wash.
Bought this kettle to sit on top of my log burner in the kitchen. Its a ‘just in case’ so that if the electric goes off we can still have a cuppa (we have no gas here in the sticks ). I was pleased with the look of the kettle and it has a little feature where the handle folds over so it looks neat on the top and would be useful if you were tight on space if a wood burner was sat in an alcove.
