Just the right size for what i wonted.
Saves on the gas bill as cant overfill for 1 cup of tea.
- 1 litre
- whistling kettle
- ideal for camping or caravans
- light weight
In description says whistling kettle but lost its whistle before i received it. Did not effect working order.
Kettle design changed and picture us not up to date. The flip open whistle is not with ‘ears’ but is a ouch and hold open design as is shown in green picture.
Pendeford Discontinued : It’s made from thin metal, and heats up quite quickly – making it a useful camping item. However, the handle can get hot – so i recommend using a towel to lift it. Also, this kettle is very small. To fit 1 litre of water in it involves filling it to the brim, which may be dangerous when it’s boiling. As such, i recommend whistling kettle 2. 5 litre stainless steel pink instead. For what you get, i think this item is slightly over-priced. While it works fine boiling water for 2 cups of tea or coffee, it’s certainly not a great item.
Got this in my shed on camp stove great for making a brew then the missus is going on.
This little kettle is adorable, i should buy them in all colours and make a display on the wall, but i am too sensible.
Works fine (whistle not very loud).
Ideal for purpose and quickly delivered.
Kettle is fine, delivery quick. Just no whistle, but to be fair i haven’t got round to getting in touch with the supplier.
Received on time, just as good as expected. Have not tried it yet, bought for power cuts etc, not a camping item for me. Was caught out last time, so not any more.
Exactly what i needed for the allotment. Does not whistle very well but boils the water ok. Bit messy when pouring but does the job.
Not really a good whistler but that doesn’t matter, i wouldn’t leave it to boil on it’s own anyway. I only bought one for when there is an electric power outtake so i don’t get trapped without a brew waiting for the power to come back on.
Delivered very quickly and packaged well. It’s just the right size for our fishing trips and doesn’t take long to boil. Would definitely recommend for camping / fishing trips in the cold weather.
Practical , purchased for powercut to use on gas, works as advertised.
Very pleased with the whistling kettle, bought for my allotment to replace one i had had for years. Boils up quickly on my little gas stove, and whistles which is a bonus.
Basic kettle , nothing fancy, nothing fancy needed, boils water quickly as it is a thin aluminium, good for the cup of t in the green house.
Ideal for single persons and truck drivers.
Didn’t give it 5 stars only because the whistle isn’t very loud (on mine, anyway). Otherwise, no complaints at all.
Just what i needed for my camping stove.
All i needed was a lightweight kettle to use when camping overnight at horsey events. This is certainly lightweight. Filling is a little awkward, as the lid doesn’t open enough to clear the spout, so it has to be held around 45 degrees. Similarly, when pouring it has to be almost upside down to fully empty as the spout isn’t right at the edge. After washing out i put three mug’s worth of water in, placed on a small portable gas stove on a low setting and it took just over 2 minutes to bubble, then get quieter and make the whistle sound. Having read some reviews that it has leaked or tasted strange, i’ve kept the heat low and have had no trouble at all.
