I love the removable metal infuser.
Delivery courier careless, but teapot fine and doesn’t drip.
As other reveiwers have written it is very large, takes a lot of water when full and quite heavy when full. The opening of the teapot is oval and the strainer and lid are round. So you have to use the strainer even when using tea bags, not a problem though.
- Fantastic product for the price
- On the heavy side, but is a good teapot 🙂
- Not as good as it used to be
Perfect spout so no dribbles. Bought it as a present for my sister but thinking of getting one myself.
First things first – if you’re expecting the finest teapot with the world’s best finish and materials then you might want to look elsewhere. This is a mass produced teapot that does everything it should do perfectly. Overview: it is extremely large (i bought the 6 cup version) and has a metal tea leaf strainer (not sure if that’s the correct word for it when it resides in the teapot). Pros: the spout is excellent: you really have to try hard to get it to dribble down the side of the pot. The metal strainer reaches to the bottom of the pot so that if you only want a small quantity then that’s fine. The holes on the strainer are fine, meaning that if your tea leaves and very small and granular (like the twinings ones in particular i find) then you still don’t get any particulate matter in the tea. It is solidly made and will last a very long time if you wash it well. It seems to be more than capable of keeping tea hot for a long time (i do always make sure to preheat it first with boiling water). Cons:the finish on the inside is not perfect but that is to be expect at this price. What i mean by this is that there a few lumps and bumps on the inner surface, but those won’t be visible to anyone.

I absolutely love this teapot because i finally have a teapot that doesn’t dribble. It pours so well it’s a dream. It arrived today earlier than anticipated so that was a lovely surprise.
Very cute little teapot, with a stainless steel filter, much much better than a plastic one. Easy to clean and will last for long long time.
A lovely traditional looking teapot with filter (reason i purchased) but the filter is difficult to get in and out and tea spills / dribbles from the spout. Im disappointed especially as it was for a present and initially looked great. Is now used without the filter and extra care to prevent spills from the spout. For info – actual size of this pot – one mug (approx half pint) or two normal tea cups.
I really enjoy a proper cup of tea made with tea leaves and with the in built tea leaf holder its brilliant and it just tastes better out of a teapot=. Well made and it cleans really easy.
Excellent teapot and tea holder. Teapot doesn’t drip when pouring like so many. My wife has a white one as she’s very happy with it too.
I found it almost impossible to get the lid on with the filter in place. Could have used it without the filter but because of the high price i returned it.
This teapot is just right for one person, large enough for two teacups or one large mug. The container for the leaves is pierced with very fine holes and works really well, it keeps the leaves in and drains quickly. The filter was difficult to remove the first time i used it but not the second time. People have found a problem with place the lid, but so long as the vent is located opposite the spring lever and is entered vent first, the lid will sit securely in place and give a reasonable seal. If the pot is used without its filter the lid may fall off, but i bought it to filter my tea so why would i leave the filter out?this pot is exactly what i wanted and it’s inexpensive.
I bought one of these in france years ago and loved it. It is a generous size (enough for second cups) and the design means you don’t have to have a tea strainer.
There’s something special about making tea with leaves and not bags. Nothing wrong with bags but the flavor is far superior with leaves. I take one star off for the, ever so slightly, over complicated design of the filter. It doesn’t need to be that secure. Now i’m off to put the kettle on for afternoon tea and bikkies.
A friend had the large spotty version which thought it was lovely but too big for me so i bought this smaller one instead. It actually makes 2 mugs of tea but i borrowed (permanently) from my mother a bone china teacup and now have my tea in that. Previously iused tea bags but since getting this i have been using loose tea and i just love the difference in taste. The filter is easy to clean, the leaves go into the compost, and there is no dripping from the spout. For anyone who loves their tea get this and some proper loose tea.
I’ve been looking for a decent teapot for ages and this one is definitely it. It’s what i’d call a ‘proper’ teapot, just like they used to make. It doesn’t drip and it looks good and is well made. A good robust teapot at a very good price. I’m thinking of ordering a 4 cup one as well.
Perfect size for 2 generous cups/mugs, plus a small top up. I’d read that it has disappointed some because it drips on pouring and if the filter isn’t in, the lid will fall off. If you pour/ tip quickly, it may drip, but had no problems when pouring normally. If i use it without the filter ( because ive used a tea bag ) the lid is a little looser, but you just put your finger on the lid as you tip – no problem.
Needed to replace a cheap and cracked teapot – this pot is such an upgrade. Easy to use for bags or leaf tea. I really look forward to my weekend morning tea now, pot easily fills two very large mugs.
This item was despatched super quick, even around the festive period. The tea pot is fantastic – well made and makes a lovely cup of tea. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. The small handle on the filter makes for easy emptying even when the filter is hot. Keeps my tea really warm, only word of advice would be don’t empty the teapot completely into your cup as tea leaves will then fall in. I’ll only make that mistake once thoughall in all it’s a great product at a great price, would highly recommend buying from this seller too.
A tradional shape teapot in a beautiful vibrant shade of blue. We decided to go back to leaf tea after discovering that teabags contain a small amount of plastic, and the design of this pot removes all the faff that used to be involved. The design is totally fit for purpose. The 6 cup pot is not too heavy and pours perfectly, no drips. The pot arrived very quickly, and was protected by biodegradable puffy things made of wheat – they dissolved away very quickly in water.
Well made, functional and easy to keep clean. My day is kicked off with two large mugs of earl grey tea and this gives me just the quantity i need. This is the second tea pot i have had of this model and will continue to be faithful as long as it wants me.
Lovely colour, sturdy construction, large capacity, filter very useful.
