Falcon Enamel 13cm Coffee Pot – : good old joe

9 litre of fluid, which fills it just to the mouth of the spout. Would not recommend to fill much more than that as could overspill from spout if boiled.

Lovely little coffee pot, really pleased with purchase. Works well on the hob and as yet has not boiled over.

Perfect for 2 -4 people, very pleased.

Love it pity they dont do a teapot of similar standard. I want a teapot urgently as my daughter wants one as wedding pressie.

Falcon Enamel 13cm Coffee Pot – Red

  • Falcon Enamel 13 cm Coffee Pot - Red

Makes great coffee, in an old-school way. No percolator fitting, but really not needed. Well made, classic piece of kit.

Purchased this coffee pot to take camping with us. We wanted a coffee pot that wasnot glass and would hold at least a couple of mugs of coffee. Have not been camping yet but were pleased when we tested it at home. I did have to go and buy coffee beans and grind them and they appear to be just fine, whoops no pun intended.

I’ve made old-fashioned filter coffee for years and my old enamel pot got lost in a move. Looked everywhere until i found this solid, very attractive and practical replacement. As others have said, though, 13 cm is the diameter, just right size to put on a 4 cup cone, it is 21 cm tall with lid.

Traditional, practical and sturdy. The lid can pose a slight problem because the lid handle/ knob is a wee small but i feel this is a minor problem easy to overcome.

Sadly it is impossible to grip the lid to lift it off.

It’s a pleasure to use it for preparing our coffee. It was exactly what we were looking for.

I am very happy with every item i have purchased.

Sits on top of my woodburner (in garden cabin) supplying me with hot coffee through the morning, looks good too.

Aww it is beautiful and looks gorgeous on our wood burner. Keeps the coffee lovely and warm.

Excellent – just what i had been looking for.

Works great on a campfire, excellent cowboy coffee.

Good quality, easy to wash and looks like a great classic product. I brew “mountain coffee” in it while camping. Recommend, and it looks great.

Superb pot does just what i want. It sits on my wood burning stove in my workshop and keeps me in coffee all day.

Used on the log burner for heating water. Great for a while then the white enamel inside started to come off.

Would be great if one had three hands – there’s nothing holding the lid on, so it invariably drops down on the cup when coffee is being poured, unless one remembers to hold it. But it’s a lovely colour (deeper crimson than in the pictures), and looks very ornamental on the top shelf in my living room.

The pot its self is good but as others have mentioned the lid top is impossible to grip. I drilled a hole and fitted a pot knob which i bought on amazon.

Bought this as a prop for an amateur operatic show, but it is far to lovely to let it loose on stage, so i will keep it, and hopefully use it, although i do have a lovely coffee maker.

Nice retro looking enamel pot. Arrived in perfect condition, next day delivery. Can’t wait to pop it on the wood burning stove.

  1. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not good for outdoor Cowboy Coffee fans
I was bought this for christmas, and i was thrilled on opening the parcel. If you want to use this for making cowboy coffee, it has some serious design problems for that usage. Note the rounded bottom; well there are not many out there like this, and for good reason, the heat slips up around the edges and this means that on a fire, like you’d use outdoors, it can not stand a rolling boil once the grounds are added, because it boils over. Now it’s worth understanding that i only put 300ml of water in the bottom, and even that was too much (about a decent mug full). If you use a gas burner then you might have better luck, but still the other issues will remain. Knob on lid can not be gripped enough to remove it (with gloves which feature silicone gripper dots/pads). I managed to salvage one mug of halfway decent coffee from this attempt. The coffee was fabulous, but had a fair few grounds, even though my method was fine.

  2. 1.0 out of 5 stars Easily chipped.
Looks really nice but arrived with a chip on the inside of the lid. Now after a few months usage it has chips all around the inside to the point of where i am scared to use it incase i swallow a peice of enamel. This was bought to fill with coffee and keep it warm beside my woodburning stove rather than run the percolator all day.

  4. 2.0 out of 5 stars Okay but shame about the bad packaging and peeling enamel
Nice pot but the enamel is not of the best quality and is already peeling under the lid, after just a months use. Also, it arrived full of plastic sellotape stuck all over it which, of course, peeled some enamel.

If this coffee pot was made of sterner stuff, about 3 times the steel gauge, it would rate much higher with myself, and if the lid was redesigned so that the knob could be securely gripped, the pot would be acceptable. This present design ensures that it is hardly possible to pick off the lid. For induction hobs the base would be better much heavier and flat. There are much better pots available.
