Returning buyer, a better deal than the original capsules, and up to you to fill it with a better coffee.
And they produce a nice espresso with plenty of crema from my inissia – i would dare to venture more crema than the standard capsule. Just be careful not too ram the coffee in too tight. A medium tamping seems fine. I use lavazza decaffeinated espresso grind (light blue packet). Certainly though the coffee is not as strong as the usual capsules. It’s an almost craftsmanlike, therapeutic process. I will buy these again, especially as the 10p/capsule cost is advantageous and it means i now use my inissia machine daily, which i was not doing before because i came to dislike the nespresso capsules’ taste.
Since buying, i haven’t used any official capsules. I buy lavazza or illy coffee to use with the capsules and works great every time. Highly recommendedone thing to note, however, is the fact that filling the capsules can be quite time consuming. I recommend taking some time out to make up a decent size batch and then you’re good to go for the week.

, Why have I only just found these!
, Find the right coffee and they’re absolutely fine
One suggestion: optimal coffee grind: 1. With this works as the original. Advantage: you can choose the coffee you like and works out much cheaper.
,simple design with nothing major to go wrong. Just fill the capsules with your favourite brand of coffee and apply the self-adhesive foil-lids. ,there is also a qr-code link on the box to a demonstration video if unsure how-to use.
Okay, i’ll admit it takes a bit more effort to ‘make’ your own capsules. However, i’m not a fan of nespresso coffee (the machine was a gift), so these handy capsules give me a chance to select my own coffee. The results are amazing, giving a perfect crema every time. Note: if grinding your own, make it fine, as if you were doing it for an espresso. Personal note: there is no ‘x’ in espresso.
I use this for almost 2 years now. Perfect substitution for the original capsules when you choose the proper grinded coffee. I tried very many of them and found lavazza crema e gusto is the perfect couuple for this. If the grind is smaller – it won’t work, if it is more coarse – you will be left with very mild coffee. Try the crema e gusto and you will stick to it .
Great when you want better coffee than what nescafé offer. You just have to make sure to pack the coffee inside just right- takes a little bit of practice.
Great solution for using coffee capsules at a reasonable price. Capsules can even be reused once or twice. Requires to use coffee finely ground otherwise the coffee will come too watery.
It does what it says on the packet, but life is too short to faff around filling these up. And to get a good hit of coffee, you need to ensure you use a very strong blend otherwise it tastes watery. Easier to use nespresso capsules which also offer a wide selection of coffee blends from different countries.
Find the right coffee and they’re absolutely fine. Lavazza is a perfect grind for this. It might take some experimentation to find one that works for you. Too fine and you will break the machine. Yes it has holes in the bottom, but make only a few pods at a time and keep them in a sealed container and that’s not an issue.
Great idea, i was doubtful the tops would be string enough but they are and you can choose what coffee you put in the, doesn’t take longto fill either.
After a bit of practice and getting the tamper correct, these are brilliant. I have many different varieties of coffee and i love using these pods to make a quick and easy espresso to kick start my day. Sometimes they aren’t are successful as the nespresso pods but that’s to be expected. They’re 10p a pod compared to aluminium pods worth 30-40p made by nespresso but if you use the tool they come with and practice, these are well worth a try.
Make sure you put plenty of coffee in and press it down. I have used different coffees such as decaf. Best is probably a strong coffee, but i use lidls roast which suits me.
There’s never a day that begins without coffee in my home, and now it’s the coffee of my choosing rather than the limited selection offered by the official – and unofficial – pod makers. These capsules take just moments to fill and seal, with very little mess, and work superbly. If, like me, you enjoy decaff of an evening then these open up a world of possibilities. You can put whatever decaff espresso grind you like inside, then sit down to relax with a delicious caffeine-free drink. I wish i’d discovered these at the same time as buying my machine, as i would’ve saved quite a lot of money.
Love these: just wish they offered an alternative colour for decaffeinated coffee.
Great idea, will be buying more.
I find these great and make tasty coffee with lavazza rossa, very easy and simple to make your own capsule.
